[Letter to Adelle] / [Action in Rabanastre | OTA]
Dear Adelle,
I'm back in Rabanastre now, and just in time for the fête. Will you be coming? I got an invitation and I can't really turn it down, but I sort of feel like I wouldn't belong. It's complicated.
How are you doing? Have you heard anything about Cid or Vaan? I thought I'd found a lead on Vaan in Balfonheim Port but it turned out not to be any good. I'm really starting to worry about him.
Speaking of worries, I think we have a bigger problem with the grimoires than we might have realized. More people I know have them and they are natives of Ivalice. After the fête, I'm going to take a trip to see Lezaford. Mjrn is coming with me and maybe someone else. It depends if I can smuggle him out of the party.
I hope things are well with you and there's good news on the horizon.

[Once her letter is posted, Penelo has some important business to attend to. She's one of the "lucky" few to be invited to the inner circle attendees for the fête. She is less than comfortable with the idea. Certainly she considers Larsa and Ashe friends, but it's still one Lowtown dancer in the company of nobles, royalty, and diplomats. She doesn't belong in places like that and she knows it all too well.
But go she truly must. It would offend and hurt Ashe if she didn't. So rather than shopping for a pretty dress for the occasion, she's in the market for something suitable to wear to the palace party. Not that she minds shopping, but it's turning out that what's appropriate for the evening far exceeds her budget and her practical sensibilities.
