✵001✵ [ACTION] [intro] No One LIKES Being Rained On
[Who's big idea was it to put her out in the middle of a rainstorm, and was rude enough to take all of her stored magicks, nunchaku, GFs and replace it with a big, heavy sword?! At least the sword is pretty radical all things considered. The less radical thing is all of the rain. Selphie only just catches sight of the gates to Rabanastre in the distance through the haze of the falling rain. Well, at least she knows where she needs to go. Kicking a rock idly she makes up her mind to trudge on towards the city.]
I'm cold, and WET and I don't know where I am! This is SUUUUUUUUUCH A MEGA BUMMER. [And it's only about to get worse, as just in front of her 1 lone, obnoxious Darkmare materializes. Damnit. Maybe if she doesn't move it won't see her? Selphie takes one step to the side, but it's too late. The Darkmare's gaze settles on her quickly, and Selphie knows an attack is imminent. She's fought enough monsters to know where this is going.
Until it doesn't and the Darkmare suddenly disappears, only zapping back into reality far behind her. Selphie whips around to look at the monster at first in confusion, but then her expression shifts to something more smug. HAH. She won't have to deal with it afterall!]
WOO HOO, YEAH! RUN AWAY! [she takes the moment to blow quite possibly the most mature raspberry anyone this side of Ivalice has ever seen....until the Darkmare disappears again. Uh oh. That's not good at all. It's only thanks to the speed of her new found abilities that she manages to half jump, half scramble out of the horses next attack when it reappears only a few feet behind her.]
Woah, woah woah! THAT'S CHEATING! If you're gonna cheat, I'm not gonna go easy on you you big stupid purple horse! [Readjusting her grip on her sword (which really, isn't so bad once she thinks about it. Maybe she can just pretend she's Squall for a little bit. At least at this point, if anyone is hanging out at the gates to the Giza Plains and paying attention, they might just be able to help a new Ninja out of a sticky solo situation.]
